Your Relationship with Money
For many driven people like you, money has a way of being both fuel and fire. You strive for it, build your life around creating it, and yet it can feel heavy in your chest. Some people try to get rid of it, thinking if they just give it all away or detach completely, they’ll feel free at last. But money doesn’t work that way. It finds its way back to you — because your relationship with money is not just about what you have but how you hold it inside.
You may judge money as good or bad on its own. But, it reflects what you believe about yourself and the world. If you see it as a problem, it shows up as a problem. If you cling to it for safety, you never feel safe enough. But if you make peace with money, truly seeing it for what it is, you give yourself permission to hold it lightly and use it well.
Making Peace with What You Have
This work is not about rejecting money or endlessly accumulating it. The real work is about being able to have money and not be controlled by it. You can learn to see your money as part of your energy flow. To see it as something that comes in, moves through, and creates good in your life and the lives of others.
When you sit quietly and look inward, ask yourself: Are you attached to your money in a way that weighs you down? Or do you have a calm respect for it, like you would any powerful tool? You get to decide if you hold money like a prison or a passport.
Journaling Prompt:
What is one fear you have about money that keeps you from having peace?

“Too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like.” — Will Rogers (origin from Robert Quillen)
