Why do you have so many preferences?
Have you ever noticed how many preferences you have in a single day? You like one person’s tone but not another’s. You love how a team member shows up one day but not the next. You feel uplifted by one conversation and drained by another. These preferences seem small, but they quietly drain your energy. Each time you judge, compare, or resist what is, you’re carrying an invisible weight. It’s no wonder high performers often feel tired even when they’re doing what they love.
Imagine what would happen if you could set that weight down. The moment you release the constant tug of liking and disliking, you begin to feel spacious inside. You see people and moments as they are, not as you wish them to be. That openness is peace. It doesn’t mean becoming indifferent; it means allowing life to unfold without needing to control it. You already have the drive. The freedom comes when you stop fighting what is.
Journal prompt:
Where in your life today are your preferences quietly draining your energy, and what might open up if you let them go?
Final Thought
“Freedom is the only worthy goal in life. It is won by disregarding things that lie beyond our control.” — Epictetus
When you begin to loosen your grip on preferences, you return to presence. In that space, you can lead, love, and live from your True Self with clarity, compassion, and peace.
Wishing you lots of joy ♥️
Much love,
