Are you enlightened?!
I have a 12 month 1:1 program called The Journey, where I guide my clients to become their True Selves. On a recent call, the topic of enlightenment came up. We discussed what it means and how to know when one is there.
In most traditions, the path of enlightenment, or receiving God’s light, is becoming fully awake. As you come to know your inner world with greater truths, the universe seems to respond by sending you new lessons, new mirrors, and new tests. Yes, more tests! Noooooo! 😂
These challenges are invitations for you to ask, “Am I awake?” When you’re misunderstood, can you remain compassionate? When fear arises, can you stay curious? The deeper you go within, the more life invites you to practice what you’re uncovering. Enlightenment is a way of being that allows everything to become meaningful.
As you awaken, the more subtle the tests become. They show up in small irritations, in moments of pride, or in the quiet temptation to fall back into old patterns. All are sacred opportunities. Every test, every trigger, every moment of discomfort is a doorway to deeper understanding. The real work is to pause, breathe, and meet each moment with presence and grace fully alive and fully awake.
Journal Prompt:
Reflect on a recent challenge or “test” in your life. Ask yourself:
What lesson was life inviting me to learn through this moment?
